This is the Season of Slippers and these are a real labour of love - plus a high degree of crocheting skill and innovation. Vivian brought them for the 'Look what I've done' session at SpinningSchool last Tuesday. The tops are in Jacob, soles are in Herdwick and to make life cosy the slippers are lined throughout with merino. And hidden inside is a really brilliant idea - insoles bought from Boots to maintain shape and ensure a perfect fit. Clever!
These really are wonderful slippers. I think I shall borrow Vivian's idea of the insole as I've often wondered about how to strengthen the soles of slippers. It's such a good idea.
