Corner of the study

The corner of our study contains a clue about why I think we spin clockwise (Z) and ply the other way(S). The flax on the distaff which children often think is a broomstick- always twists the same way just like all the other bast fibres. This is just one of the many reasons why I think we traditionally spin Z which I will discuss on Tuesday.
