This Saturday (10th November ) Pat Rampton, a
member of the Guild of Longdraw spinners and a regular attender at
Spinningschool, invites us for a 'woolly day' of spinning, knitting etc and a
shared lunch in her new purpose built studio at New Barn Farm, Bulkington, CV12
9JX. This will be a regular second Saturday in the month event, fee £5 includes
tea, coffee and cake. Meet her prize-winning flock of show Portland and Shetland
sheep, Doris and Alice (Shetland cows) and maybe a calf, Icksworth, Green
Legbar, and Buff Orpington hens, along with geese, ducks and dogs (which will be
in their runs!). Directions: at J2 M6 M69 pick up the Anstey, Shilton road: at
Shilton traffic lights turn left, at next mini-roundabout turn left and
immediately right onto the Wolvey road, go past the New Inn on your left. New
Barn Farm is last building on the right as leave Bulkington, there is a sign on
the gate. I may be able to squeeze in one more spinner and a wheel if anyone would like a lift from Stoke Albany.
