Shawl for my Aunt-progress

I have finished the Old Shale coloured pattern section around the Shetland Hap and just completed the first of the Peaks. Old Shale is said to be reminiscent of waves on a beach, and the Peaks are supposed to remind one of snow capped hills in the Shetlands. The shawl certainly feels nice and warm on my knee when I'm sitting by the fire knitting - maybe that's why the Shetland Islanders loved making them.
