How to make Bouclé yarn Tuesday 12th June

The Bouclé technique is a useful and easy way to make unique beautiful yarn and not difficult to learn. It incorporates fibres that are hardly spun at all, into stable finished yarns, using fine thread such as silk or cotton.  If you have some fibre sitting around that is just beautiful but don't you can't decide what to do with it, then Boucle may be the answer. Suitable fibre is dyed merino tops in varying colours or a long staple lustrous fleece such as Wensleydale. If you are not sure just bring what  fibre you have (if anything!), I will make sure we have all the ncessary 'ingredients' to learn the technique make a useful swatch. SpinningSchool starts at 1.30 on Tuesday 12th June in Stoke Albany Village hall preceded by lunch or a drink in the Fox Inn, Wilbarston from 12noon. Fee is £15 and includes tea, coffee and cake.
